Insurance Claims Accounting Services Litigation Forensic Accounting Services New Loss Assignment Form

A New Specialty and a
New Company in 1981

More than thirty years ago, Bob Reboul, an Industrial Engineer who later became a CPA, started Robert H. Reboul, Inc. Doug Henderson, a CPA with an MBA, joined him in 1987 and Reboul & Henderson, Inc. was born. Bob and Doug believed that economic damages needed to be examined by accounting specialists who understood more than math formulas. Old friends, they worked together for some time and learned to effectively apply standard accounting practices to insurance and litigation economic damage claims. Eventually, Investigative Accounting and Forensic Accounting became recognized by accounting oversight organizations as legitimate field of accounting specialization.

Reboul & Henderson, Inc., was incorporated in 1981. The term Investigative Accounting was coined by Bob Reboul to describe the company's accounting services. It is now a generic term used to describe the insurance claim accounting specialty we practice. In the 1980's, most of our insurance claim loss assignments were manufacturing losses. Less than ten percent of the loss claims we investigated involved employee fidelity claims or insurance fraud. Today, it is not unusual for our assignments from insurance companies and legal firms to involve employee dishonesty claims or other possible fraud.

In almost a quarter century, Reboul & Henderson, Inc. has seen much change. For instance, our first Panasonic computer was one of the lightest and therefore, most portable, on the market at thirty-one pounds. It had its own thermal printer inside. Today, computers drive much of the routine efficiency in insurance claims. Each claim is unique, however, and the Investigative Accountant remains an integral part of cost efficient and mutually agreeable claim settlements.

An Experienced Company: In Depth

Our Experience Is Your Advantage

To effectively serve clients, Reboul & Henderson, Inc. has worked tirelessly over the years to create and promptly deliver cost-effective services to insurance companies, independent adjusters and attorneys.

If a client chooses to submit a claim online, we have employed security services which will protect the information submitted on our site.

Alternatively, a client may contact our professionals by phone or email. We guarantee a response within the next working day.

Every client is provided with a professional letter of engagement at the beginning of an insurance claim accounting or a litigation accounting support assignment. This will confirm the assignment and describe our professional rate.

To engage one of our associates, a client may contact any Reboul & Henderson, Inc. professional directly. We will also be glad to suggest an accountant whose experience or location will expedite the work assignment. Our CPAs are all experienced in another related area of business and work closely together. We believe that this provides our clients with an unusual degree of expertise and understanding. It is a qualification which distinguishes us from others in the field.

We expect that a client will outline the scope of the accountant's assignment. It is ideal if an Investigative Accountant is engaged as soon as possible after the occurrence of an insured event. However, this is not always the situation. In these instances, the experience gained from many years of investigative accounting specialization will often help to avoid unnecessary and lengthy procedures. The loss assignment frequently can be resolved quickly and accurately.
